Placemat round, sea grass, Ø 38 cm

Bring a tropical atmosphere to the table with this beautifully woven placemat made out of seagrass and water hyacinth. Water hyacinth is seen as a roadside ditch weed in Vietnam. Rather than discard the plant after removing it from ditches, the leaves are dried and used for decorative homeware.
