Dried white mustard seeds have a fresh, sharp flavour. You can easily make mustard yourself using finely ground mustard seeds combined with vinegar and water. Mustard seeds are delicious with pork and fish, in mashed potatoes and Dutch-style mashed dishes, in curries, cheese dishes and soups. They also add a spiciness to pickled vegetables such as gherkins and onions and to various types of chutney.
