Want to make a nice stew, stock or even a tagine? The best way to do this is by cooking it at a very low temperature. To do this, use this two-layer, enamel simmer plate underneath your pan or earthenware dish. This will temper and distribute the heat from the stove and prevent your dish from going dry or burning.
The handle can be slid back inside the plate, which makes it easier to store.
