Enamel is a glaze made from molten glass and is used to protect metal surfaces. This creates colourfast, scratch and rustproof crockery. Moreover, the latter is light weight. This makes it ideal for BBQs, at the campsite or for a picknick. The mug is ovenproof, but not microwave safe. Hand wash enamel to keep it looking its best: the temperature fluctuations in a dishwasher can damage the glass layer.
