This oil, pressed from the rinds of the green bergamot fruit, has a fresh-herby, refreshingly citrus-like smell. This organic, pure essential oil can, for instance, be used in a fragrance burner. Fill the burner with water, add a few drops of fragrance oil and allow to evaporate for a joyful, energetic smell in your home. Besides a relaxing smell, bergamot also has a purifying effect. The oil is good to use in home-made skin care products such as deodorants, anti-spot cream and for cleansing your skin.
Never apply the oil to the skin undiluted. Always mix with a base oil such as almond, jojoba or olive. Undiluted, the oil may cause skin irritation.
