Five-spice powder is a sweet and spicy blend of spices used widely in Chinese cuisine. It is delicious in all kinds of stir-fry dishes with meat, fish and/or vegetables. The mix's slightly sweet flavour (and especially the star anise) lends itself particularly well to marinades for duck and pork. We also recommend trying five-spice powder in biscuit dough, granola and even in desserts: very tasty indeed!
