Star aniseed, organic, 15 g

The dried, star-shaped fruits of the Asian star anise bush provide an intense aniseed flavour and aroma. Allow one or more whole star anise pods to infuse in Chinese and Indonesian dishes. Aniseed is especially delicious with pork and duck, but also great with stir-fried vegetables. Star anise is also delightful as an additional aniseed accent in braised fennel, in homemade fruit syrup, jam, (coffee) liqueur, in herbal tea, in various desserts and ice cream.
