Oregano tastes and smells purely Mediterranean: intensely spicy, slightly sweet and very aromatic. It can be used in all kinds of Italian dishes, such as tomato sauces for pasta or pizza, as well as with stewed vegetables such as aubergine and courgette. Oregano is also delicious with lamb and pork and in a variety of Greek recipes.
Tip: for optimal flavour and aroma, add oregano to your dish about 15 minutes before serving.
