This house gives butterflies a place to take shelter during cold or wet weather. Butterfly species that overwinter in Northern Europe (such as the common brimstone and the peacock butterfly) can also use this house to hibernate during winter. Tip: put some small, dry twigs and leaves in the box for the butterflies to sit on and place the butterfly house in a sheltered spot in your garden.
Tip: thanks to its hexagonal shape, you can stack several butterfly houses on top of one another along with other insect boxes to form one big insect hotel! Make your garden welcoming to nature!
