Bolga basket/shopping basket, savannah grass

Hand-woven, traditional basket from Bolgatanga (Ghana), made from savannah grass with leather handle. Bolga baskets are woven by women who earn their own income by making these baskets. The shopping basket is also very suitable for storing toys.

Height (excluding handle) approx. 30 cm, Ø approx. 23 cm, handle height: 18 cm.

Because it is a handmade, artisanal product the dimensions may differ slightly from basket to basket.

Tip: If your basket has deformed, you can get it back to its original shape by wetting it, re-shaping it and then allowing it to dry.
