Our natural sponges come from a traditional family farm in Italy, where the sponges are carefully selected, collected and processed. There is a strong emphasis on protecting and preserving marine life in this part of the Mediterranean. The sponges are detached from the rocks using specialist tools which leave the base of the sponge behind so it can continue growing. The sponges are collected in nets and then cleaned, dried and cut into shape by hand retaining their natural colour.
