Make delicious, typically British scones yourself with this mix from Windkorenmolen 'De Vlijt' in Wageningen (NL). Delicious with ‘clotted cream’ and jam or Lemon Curd!

Ingredients: wheat flour*, cane sugar*, raising agents (E341i, E500), vanilla sugar*, salt
*from controlled organic farming.
Store in a cool, dry place.
To add: 85 grams of butter in cubes, 175 ml of milk, 1 beaten egg, 1 tsp of lemon juice.
Preparation: place the mix and butter in a bowl. Rub with your fingertips until a crumbly mixture forms. Mix the lemon juice into the milk and add to the mix. Stir with a fork until a lumpy dough forms. Knead it briefly. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 3 cm, and cut out circles of about 5 cm Ø. Place these on a greased baking sheet (or use baking paper) with some space in between and brush with egg. Bake in a preheated oven at 220 ˚C for about 25 minutes until cooked.
