Lime wax, 250 ml

Procedure:
You will need: steel wool, lime wax, colourless floor polish, a soft cloth and gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove all varnish or paint (stain or wax can be used as a substrate).
2. Take a roll of steel wool and dip it into the lime wax. Be generous with the wax and rub both with the grain and in a circular motion, so that all the indentations of the wood are filled with the wax. Regularly take a new piece of steel wool with lime wax.
3. Let it soak in for at least 30 minutes. The longer you let the wax soak in, the stronger the grain will be seen in the end result.
4. Now take a clean roll of steel wool and a small amount of the colourless floor polish. Rub this lightly over the wood. This is how you remove excess lime wax. You need very little polish for this!
5. Then, with a soft cloth, rub the wood again. The result is now a "white washed" surface with a depth effect and a silk sheen.
6. Treat the wood regularly with the colourless floor polish to protect it.
